ABSTRACT
This paper investigates the economic consequences of health shocks and the manner in which households in Nigeria respond to such events. Based on two years panel survey we examine the effects of death of a household member and severe illness episodes on household income and consumption. We find that death exerts a negative effect on household income. However, the estimates do not reject the hypothesis of consumption smoothing. The most prominent response to finance consumption in the face of health shocks are asset depletion and the use of other coping strategies, which has a detrimental effects on future consumption.

ABSTRACT
This study examined the extent to which Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) have access to finance, identified the problems encountered by Microfinance Banks (MFBs) in financing SMEs and also determined the strategies to improve access to finance by SMEs in Oyo State, Nigeria. Multi-stage sampling procedure was adopted for the selection of the participants. The first stage, five cities through purposive sampling technique was selected, while simple random sampling technique was used to select thirteen (13) microfinance banks and one hundred and sixty (160) SMEs operators as sample size for the study. Descriptive statistics such as Percentage, Frequency and Mean were used to analyse the data with the aid of Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) software for windows. Results revealed that majority of SMEs operators did have access to finance. This implies that the growth of microfinance banks though substantial has not been able to reach a larger share of the public. Furthermore, results also showed that delay in repayment of loans, lack of business plan, diversion of the loan granted and lack of banking culture are the most challenges confronting microfinance banks in financing SMEs in Oyo State. Results also showed that reduction of interest rate, relax the conditions of loans, bring MFBs closer to the people and sensitize more SMEs operators about MFBs are the most strategies that can pave the way for SMEs in Oyo State, Nigeria to access microfinance products/services. The study concluded that the use of microfinance banks as an instrument for financial inclusion has not fully been actualized in Oyo State, Nigeria.

The sources of data are primary and secondary, qualitative approach is adopted and descriptive design is used. Using further fieldwork findings, this paper highlights the factors common to both urban and rural MSEs and those that appear unique to the rural setting. A context-rich interpretive framework for smaller enterprises in the rural setting is developed.

ABSTRACT
This article examined the underlying pull factors that determinants the choice of Malaysian universities among international edu-tourists. About 1003 international edu-tourists from Africa, Asia and Middle East were sampled in 13 public and private Malaysia universities using questionnaire. Exploratory Factor Analysis was applied for the analysis. The results of the principal component analysis (PCA) revealed the emergence of four dimensions with eigenvalue > 1. An inspection of the screen plot revealed a clear break of four dimensions that explains a total of 60.584% of the variance with Malaysia university characteristics contributing (32.95%), cost / fees (12.50%), internationalisation of the Malaysian universities (7.80%), and peers / relations influence (7.33%). The results of the Varimax rotation revealed that the structure of the four determinants of Choice of Malaysian University (CMU) with strong loadings determine the choice of Malaysian university as a preferred edu-tourist destination among international edu-tourists from emerging countries. Since the focus of Malaysian government is to brand Malaysian universities as international tourist product, including making the country an edu-tourist destination hub of the South East Asia. Pull factors capable of attracting international edu-tourists from other emerging countries to Malaysian universities need to be identified. This will enable the government of Malaysia and managers of Malaysian edu-tourist industry to appropriate feasible policy and strategies capable of attracting these edu-tourists. This paper does provide an extensive block of 19 indicators, splits into four dimensions, capable of determining the choice of Malaysian university as an edu-tourist destination.

ABSTRACT
This paper is presented to showcase series of sustainable energy systems in our environment vis-à-vis the sources, uses and challenges of entrepreneurship. It is a fact that most of the world’s energy resources are produced by buildings and construction industry which as a result, constitute problems of global warming, pollution, depletion of the ozone layer, waste issues, and climate changes, etc. To save our planet of these problems is going back to the basis; a technology in green architecture to achieve a clean and sustainable energy in buildings. A review of the characteristics of the various energy technologies in buildings suggests modifications in architectural planning and design in such areas as site planning/landscaping floor planning, environmental control systems, construction materials and methods. Also, in response to challenging issues of national transformation, the study adopted in this paper is a literature reviews to asses various contributions of architects using a qualitative approach. It was recommended that government, private and public entitles have architects in which their impacts must be identified and put into practice for a transformed systems in Nigeria using entrepreneurship as a tool.
